The Mistress Of The Dark Faces Dracula In Upcoming Dynamite Series ‘Elvira In Monsterland’

Elvira may have survived Horrorland in her most recent adventure, but is she ready for Monsterland?
Dynamite announced Thursday its latest Elvira-starring miniseries, Elvira in Monsterland, will arrive this May. The story, from writer David Avallone and artist Kewber Baal, sees Vlad the Impaler making his way into the Multiverse of Movies to recruit of an army of monsters. And with Vampirella busy in her own comic book adventures, it falls on Elvira to stick it to Dracula.
“Our last series, Elvira in Horrorland, was so much fun that I wanted to return to a similar tale, but bring in our old friend Vlad as an over-arching villain to tie together the whole saga,” Avallone said in a statement.
Elvira creator Cassandra Peterson added, “This series brings Elvira face-to-face with so many of the classic monsters I loved growing up, and it’s gonna be a blast for the fans: a hilarious trip down the world’s scariest memory lane!”
Dave Acosta returns once more to provide covers with Baal and John Royle contributing covers of their own for the first issue. Elvira in Monsterland #1 is schedule for release in May, alongside the collected edition of Elvira in Horrorland.
