Mike Mignola And Lemony Snicket Are Crowfunding A New Newly Illustrated And Annotated Edition of ‘Pinocchio’

With Pinocchio being the subject of a video game and an Oscar winning stop-motion film, the popularity of the wooden puppet shows no sign of slowing down. Now Mike Mignola (Hellboy) and Lemony Snicket (A Series of Unfortunate Events) are developing a newly illustrated, annotated, and designed edition of Pinocchio.
The Beehive Books edition of Pinocchio includes over fifty original illustrations from Mignola and colorist Dave Stewart. The text is annotated by Lemony Snicket, who takes the reader along with him for his own first experience of the story in all of its bubbling stew of anarchic madness, surreal symbolism, and social commentary.
