The ‘Uncanny Avengers’ Return This Summer To Save Krakoa & The World

The Avengers have had their fair share of spin-off teams. This summer one of the most unique returns in the wake of an unspeakable tragedy.
The Fall of X isn’t just a reference to a pleasant Autumn on Krakoa. Instead it’s going to be a heartbreaking event that will tear apart Marvel’s mutant nation. It all kicks off with the Hellfire Gala, and spinning out of that annual event, a new team of Uncanny Avengers will be beginning a mission to help save Krakoa.
From Gerry Duggan and Javier Garron, Uncanny Avengers will find Steve Rogers rebuilding the Avengers Unity Squad in the wake of the tragedy at the Hellfire Gala. Joining him will be Unity Squad stalwart Rogue, along with Psylocke, Penance, Deadpool and Quicksilver. The team’s first mission- discovering the identity of the new, murderous Captain Krakoa and stopping him from starting a new world war alongside his team of killers.
“Everything we’ve been working towards in our third act is coming to a head this summer,” Duggan told fans in a video message. “The Uncanny Avengers have existed to provide an example of unity between humanity and mutantdom, and they will need to work extra hard at that now as relationships and friendships have frayed in the events of FALL OF X.”
The new team will be featured in a new story in this year’s FCBD: Avengers/X-Men and then Uncanny Avengers #1 will arrive in August.
