TV Review: ‘Superman & Lois’ Season 3, Episode 10

One of the great things about Superman & Lois is that it starts with many different character arcs and plot lines that have nothing to do with one another. In many ways, they even diverge. But eventually it finds interesting ways to have these story arcs intersect. It happened two episodes ago when John Henry (Wolé Parks) and Bruno Mannheim (Chad Coleman) finally clashed. This week started down a similar path as Superman’s (Tyler Hoechlin) secret is more exposed than ever. The ramifications of people learning who is Superman won’t be fully felt until the next episode. But the simple fact that it was exposed at all gives fans something to eagerly look forward to.
The episode started with Peia (Daya Vaidya) still locked up in the DOD. Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) tries to get her to come clean about framing Lex Luthor, but Peia wouldn’t talk. Matteo (Spence Moore II) was still allowed to see his mother, but he finally involved himself in their crimes as he cured his mother and helped her break out of custody. Meanwhile, the Kent boys ditched their father to go to a party. Sarah (Inde Navarrette) was drinking and driving and almost got into an accident. She was saved by Jordan (Alex Garfin), but this exposed him to her dad, who then confronted Clark about one of his sons having powers.
Of course, Peia was eventually going to break free and would probably still pose as the main villain of the season. Lex Luthor’s arrival is also imminent. And with the way Peia was talking about him, he is sure to have a very menacing presence on the show. There are certainly some hiccups in terms of character decisions, but no story is perfect. Overall, Superman & Lois proves itself to be the most consistently strong superhero show week in and week out. As it moves towards its season finale, fans are certainly in for a treat.
