Fantastic Four #1 cover by Mike Wieringo

Mike’s brother, Matt Wieringo says:

It’s so exciting to see Mike’s work gracing another Marvel cover after 10 years. The Fantastic Four was one of his dream assignments, and I’m sure Mike would have been pleased to participate in the return of Marvel’s first family. And, as Mike’s biggest fan, it’s a genuine pleasure for me to see his art on the stands again.

Mike Wieringo illustrated a phenomenal run on Fantastic Four written by Mark Waid, that took Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben to some fun and exciting places. This is a very special cover indeed.

Tom Brevoort, Marvel SVP and Executive Editor adds:

As the artist of my favorite run editing Fantastic Four, it’s especially nice that the late, great Mike Wieringo can make a contribution to the launch of this new one.

Fantastic Four #1 is written by Dan Slott and illustrated by Sara Pichelli. It’s scheduled for release on August 8th, 2018.
