Happy! Returns March 27th

The Easter season will never be the same as Happy! makes its triumphant return on March 27th. Syfy even released a new trailer for the upcoming second season (via Deadline).

The series, based on the comic book by Grant Morrison and Darrick Robertson, tells the tale of a reprobate ex-cop turned hitman who must aid a little girl’s imaginary friend, the eponymous Happy, in saving her from some very bad men. The book ends rather definitively, but the television show found a new avenue for Nic Sax (Christopher Meloni) and Happy (Patton Oswalt) to continue the mayhem. The new storyline brings them to Easter. Nic is trying his best to be a good father to his daughter, but things remain in the air from Christmas. Meanwhile, a plot to rebrand Easter has some definite dark undertones as Nic is drawn into ending a child smuggling ring. The series also stars Patrick Fischler, Ritchie Coster, Lili Mirojnick, Medina Senghore, Christopher Fitzgerald and Bryce Lorenzo.

Happy! returns March 27th on Syfy.
