Love, Death, And Robots: ‘When The Yogurt Took Over’ Analysis

by Tito W. James

What’s great about Love, Death, and Robots is that no two episodes are alike. When The Yogurt Took Over is an absurd, comedic episode detailing sentient yogurt’s rise to power.

I love how the humans are rendered as complete cartoon characters while everything else is photorealistic. The characters on screen don’t say much more than a few grunts and the plot is relayed via omniscient narration.

Despite the brevity of the short, When The Yogurt Took Over remains one of the most memorable episodes. Its insane premise mixes perfectly with the dairy-fueled soundtrack like yogurt and granola.

Love, Death, and Robots is currently streaming on Netflix.
