‘Another Day Of Life’ Depicts Civil War With Mind-Bending Animation

I’ve said it before, but GKids is turning into the best resource for prestige adult animation. Another Day of Life combines archival footage with cell-shaded animation to deliver a riveting story about Angola’s civil war in 1975.
The animations depict the chaos through surrealism reminiscent of Inception. In an industry overrun with nostalgic cash-grabs and thinly-veiled advertisements it’s great to see a film that recognizes the transformative potential of animation.
Another Day Another Life will screen in select theaters September 13th.
